terugUK: Twitter groeit met 974%
twitterVolgens Hitwise UK is het verkeer van Twitter het afgelopen jaar ontploft naar een verhoging van 974%. Was Twitter vorig jaar nog 2953e site in de UK ranking van meest bezochte sites; in de nieuwe lijst staat de site op de 291e plek. Het verkeer dat Twitter naar andere sites dirigeert is verdertigvoudigd.
Robin Goad, directeur research van Hitwise UK: "Twitter was one of the fastest growing sites in the UK last year. If anything, the service is even more popular than our numbers imply as we’re only measuring traffic to the main Twitter site. If the people accessing their Twitter accounts via mobile phones and third-party applications (such as Twitterrific, Twitterfeed and Tweetdeck) were included, the numbers could be even higher."
